Kidapawan: A Place to Unrest

Looking for the perfect summer getaway, under the summer heat? Well, go to Kidapawan, the perfect vacation spot for pleasure seekers this summer.

Kidapawan resort

Check out its wonderful scenery of dried out greenery and desolate irrigation with no flowing water. Marvel at the beauty of the dust clouds, as it uncovers a produce store where none of the freshest vegetables are found. The city is rich of its resorts with ample water capacity and of its villages with no access to water. Never mind the lounges in Ermita and the hundred islands of Manila Bay. This is a perfect place to relax with an empty glass and a set of dried seeds, while relaxing under the scorching heat.

If you are looking for a wonderful resort to unwind, then check out the passage along Kidapawan highway, where myriads of friendly farmers wave to tourists and to law enforcement. With their colorful placard that directs you to their residence and their continuous hollers greeting any passersby with a streak of discontent, they sure can accommodate you anytime. Also, try their signature rice bowl, bahaw, for unlimited time only. Just do not be stunned by the blood and sweat covered in their faces.

I highly recommend that you to visit the lovely Kidapawan to see how the summer heat highly takes away the needs of the people.

Kidapawan unrest

Disclaimer:

Now, if anyone is skeptical about this post, just note that this is not to mock the city of Kidapawan. Kidapawan is indeed a good tourist spot. However, this article is to address the conflict in Kidapawan as a case of unbalanced civilian law and orderĀ and a repercussion of the effects of climate change, in the form of satire. Nobody is in the black or white here. The best thing we can do as non-residents of Kidapawan is to accept that Mindanao is facing crisis in agriculture and nutrition, due to the effects of El Nino. Make this a good discussion. Yes, it is in our minds where to go for summer vacation. But let us realize: summer means unrest for someone else.
